The Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus) or Allfarblori

As the name indicates quite flashy, brightly colourful, bold, noisy and well-known local of Sydney. They come in pairs that defend their feeding and nesting areas aggressively against other Rainbow Lorikeets, but love to assemble on big trees in large flocks to have a good chat in the evening (not unlike the human residents who do the same in the local pubs). They don’t bother Suki the Cat and she tends to ignore them, a rare example of tolerant cat/bird coexistence. Unfortunately they have a extremely stupid German name: Allfarblori. But can’t be bothered because live only in in Australia, eastern Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and not in Germany. Length ranging from 25-30 cm in size, with a wingspan of about 17 cm.
